Reconnect, recharge, and continue your leadership journey with fellow MFI alumni during this interactive virtual open house. This is not a webinar! It is designed as space to share successes, discuss challenges, and exchange practical strategies for leading people, projects, and programs in today’s evolving urban forestry landscape.
Through facilitated breakout Canopy Conversations, we will explore topics such as:
- People management: building a positive work culture, motivating and empowering teams, mediating conflict, negotiating among team members and partners.
- MFI action plans and professional development: re-igniting motivation, adapting goals, and overcoming obstacles that have slowed progress.
- Managing challenging human dynamics: practicing response versus reaction, strengthening adaptability, responding to burnout, and seeking support.
- Program or initiative development: explore strategic planning and visioning; planning, implementing and managing new programs; data gathering and analysis; and problem solving techniques.
