Bipartisan Infrastructure in the Nation’s Capital

May 14 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CDT

Join us for a UCFS Learning Series webinar: Bipartisan Infrastructure in the Nation’s Capital

A legacy of poor policy from the mid-1900s led to serious challenges and often dangerous interactions between trees and powerlines in Washington D.C. In this webinar, Earl Eutsler State Forester for Washington DC and Nathan McElroy Utility Forester with Pepco, we will review the challenges the city and power utility collectively inherited, and the approaches used to mitigate risk while simultaneously improving tree cover and utility system reliability.

Attendees will learn more about:

  1. How policy choices over time lead to a variety of implications for both parties
  2. Collaborative approaches to prioritize and mitigate tree and utility conflicts
  3. The importance of tracking and communicating outcomes between the city and the utility company

This webinar is approved for one ISA CEU.
