Trees, Insurance & Risk: Navigating a Changing Landscape

October 5 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm CDT

Join us for an exciting webinar co-hosted by the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) and the Urban and Community Forestry Society (UCFS) – the leading associations dedicated to helping you navigate the tree care and urban forestry professions.

Arborists and urban forestry professionals are facing a rapidly changing insurance landscape that can have significant implications for risk management, urban canopy goals, and day-to-day business operations. Insurance may increasingly influence decisions about trees—but arborists and urban forestry professionals have an opportunity to help shape those decisions. Understanding the issues, speaking the language of risk, and knowing how to respond can help professionals protect people and property without sacrificing sound tree care and long-term urban forest goals.

Trees, Insurance & Risk: Navigating a Changing Landscape explores how emerging insurance trends, policies, and requirements influence urban forestry decision-making.   You’ll gain an understanding of the tree care industry’s response, including efforts by the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) and the Urban and Community Forestry Society (UCFS) and collaborations with the National Council of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL) to influence policy discussions. Most importantly, you’ll leave with practical strategies for navigating insurance-related concerns with clients, communities and municipalities, including how ANSI industry standards provide liability protections, how to strengthen contractual and RFP language, and how ordinances and regulations intersect with insurance considerations.

Join us to get ahead of the conversation, anticipate insurance-related challenges, strengthen your risk-management approach, and help shape a future where the insurance industry and tree care industry work together to protect trees and urban canopy goals.
